    I had this book on my shelves for almost an year now and always picked something else instead of it I don`t know why I was reluctant probably because of the cover which made it look like a cheap book with cheesy storyline But I was so wrong It was a great read and all the characters developed extraordinary You can see in this book

    Written way back in 1937 this Novel of Modern India has everything Great plot excellent characterizations sweeping history drama romance and humor It's no wonder it was made into a movie in 1939 Hollywood's Golden Year with a somewhat simpler plot and fewer characters I saw the movie first starring Myrna Loy Tyrone Power a
