Despite he himself had written the Buddha series in this volume and the succeeding one vol11 for the first time is it right? Tezuka depicted Buddhism as the dark force However it was not the Buddha nor the Boddhisatvas or any of the followers that were the bad guys it was the bunch of deity dudes the devas or tennou or Thiên vương and the Twelve Divine Generals or Juuni Shinshou or Thập nhị Thần Tướ

Like with a couple of other story arcs within the Phoenix series this story spans both past and future with about 14oo years between them Overall a solid installment in the Phoenix series with religion as a major theme This is one of the rare instances in literature I've seen where Buddhism was seen as a negative force How is that possible you ask well read this book and see it actually makes sense as Buddhism is NOT a religion na

This review covers Volumes 10 and 11 as they're of the same story The story in these volumes flip flops a bit between the past and the future the past about a man whos forced into becoming a proto furry and helping spirits of the wilderness while resisting Buddhism The future deals with an evil vaguely Catholic
